Chase Tactical’s Modular Enhanced Armor Plate Carrier (MEAC) is a light weight plate carrier that works with any set of hard armor plates and soft armor backers. The triple magazine front panel is secured with Velcro into the carrier and will fit 3 – 30 round 5.56mm magazines. The internal mag pouch is removable allowing you to use the pocket as an admin pouch.

The MEAC has built in padded and fully adjustable shoulder straps. The tops of the shoulder straps have both nylon webbing and elastic webbing for mounting and routing tourniquets, hydration tubes, radio antennas, handsets, comm wires, V Lites, and strobe lights. Spacer mesh is used on the inside of the Modular Enhanced Armor Plate Carrier (MEAC) for increased breathability and comfort. Matching Velcro loop covers the upper front and back portions of the carrier for any size Velcro placards. Strong drag handle that Velcro’s down and out of the way when not in use.

Maximize coverage and comfort: The Testudo Gen 2 Plate Carrier provides a tight fit and plenty of space for everything you’ll want in a full tactical loadout. It remains a favorite in the industry for its fully adjustable cummerbund, comfortable padding, and a generous amount of PALS webbing for attaching magazines, medical kits, and other accessories. It also features side plate pockets for extra coverage and the ability to carry all standard plate sizes (11”x14” and smaller).

In 36 BC, the historian Plutarch gave the first description of the Roman Army’s formidable Testudo formation. It consisted of a group of soldiers tightly packed, with shields held in front and above, so that nothing could penetrate the advancing unit. The Testudo Gen 2 carrier takes that vision and applies it to personal body armor: Having formidable protection by maximizing coverage.

The Testudo is made mostly of 500D Nylon, with bar tacks reinforcing all stress points and PALS webbing covering the outside for attaching your MOLLE-compatible pouches, holsters, and accessories. The generous padding also prevents chafing, making for an armor setup that’s easy to wear for long periods of time. The adjustable shoulder straps, made of nylon, also help you fit the carrier as the low offset makes the rear plate pocket ride at the proper height.

One of the biggest advantages of the Testudo is its cummerbund: A sash around the lower half of the carrier that both gives you side-plate pockets for extra armor and gives you full adjustability to tighten the carrier to a perfect fit. This adjustability makes the Testudo more than a “one-size-fits-all” solution since the size itself can be changed to best suit you.

SMC Plate Carrier

DESCRIPTION

The SMC Plate Carrier is our most advanced carrier design to date. Secretly in development for the past 2 years, the SMC (Shoot, Move, Communicate) is everything we’ve wanted in a lightweight, combat-ready plate carrier. Designed to carry a pair of 10x12 hard plates or most large SAPI plates, the cummerbund features MOLLE/PALS style webbing for the addition of pouches for side plates if you prefer your kidneys remain non-perforated. The front panel also features an open pocket for maps, water/cable retention, or enough room for a fleece watch cap or gloves.

This carrier is “one size fits most” thanks to its adjustable shoulder straps and cummerbund, ensuring a snug fit for just about every warrior’s body type. Should you find yourself on fire, trapped in a tight spot, or unexpectedly going for a swim, the new ROC buckles on one shoulder strap (reversible) and either side of the cummerbund can be rapidly released in case of emergency. These also make putting on the carrier much more convenient when you are in a hurry.

The secret sauce behind the SMC is literally in the back. YKK Zippers and webbing on the back panel are designed for attaching any one of the new SMC zippered back panels, so you can specifically tailor your carrier for the mission ahead. As for the SMC carrier, breathable mesh is built into the cummerbund and inside faces of the carrier body for enhanced comfort. Interior padding enclosed in weave gives the wearer additional comfort and air channels to wick away moisture. There are six rows of MOLLE/PALS style webbing with built in matching loop material on the top three rows for the option of attaching patches or ID panels.

Laser cut laminate nylon gives you all the modularity of traditional MOLLE webbing at a significant reduction in weight while remaining strong and water/chemical resistant. Longevity is also increased as cut edges do not fray after they are heat sealed with the laser.

The Low-Vis Plate Carrier Elite (LVPC-E) was designed with direct feedback from our customers asking for features of our original LVPC with features from our very popular SOCC plate carrier. The LVPC-E is a low profile slick plate carrier built for Low Visibility and concealment. It is fully adjustable on the shoulders for size, and the sides are made from double layer Mil-Spec elastic.

The Low-Vis Plate Carrier Elite (LVPC-E) also incorporates 3 internal pouches on each side which can hold rifle magazines, tourniquets, and/or radios. The sides of our Low-Visibility Plate Carrier are fully adjustable for girth by way of Velcro closure. The interior of the LVPC-E has moisture wicking spacer mesh adding additional comfort to the body when worn. The front of the LVPC-E incorporates a large Velcro area for placards and 2 vertical clips which will accept a variety of pre-configured weapon-specific pouch panels.

DESCRIPTION

The Concealable Plate Carrier is designed to be just that - concealable. It is lightweight, low profile, and comfortable. It can be worn under button up shirts, jackets, and similar articles of clothing. It is built for low visibility and concealment. Made of a nylon blend with an elastic cummerbund around the sides, it makes for an extremely comfortable fit.

The Concealable Plate Carrier is the lightest and lowest profile carrier we have available. It is designed to be just that - concealable. Lightweight (weighing less than 10 oz), low profile and comfortable, it can be worn under button up shirts, jackets, and similar articles of clothing. The carrier is designed specifically for our Level IIIA Soft Armor, but it can fit any standard 10"x12" plate as well.

Made of a nylon and spandex blend, the Concealable Plate Carrier is comfortable and breathable, allowing it to have a stretch that better contours and fits your body. It includes elastic cummerbund straps that fit around your sides and provide ample adjustment. The shoulder straps are adjustable as well, to ensure a perfect and snug fit.

The AR Invictus™ plate carrier was designed to be our lightest and lowest-profile carrier. Weighing in at a mere 1.3 pounds, the Invictus has been jump-tested by US Special Operations personnel and provides extreme mobility without sacrificing comfort.

The Invictus (Latin for Undefeated) accepts all trapezoidal 10”x12” plates and is laser cut from laminated nylon. The Hypalon shoulder straps and pull tabs are low-profile and secure. The included cummerbund is cut from the same laminate and can accommodate our padded side plate pockets. Both the plate carrier and cummerbund feature generous PALS cutouts for all MOLLE-compatible pouches and accessories.

SMC Assaulter Panel

DESCRIPTION

The SMC Assaulter Panel grants the user additional rifle magazine and utility pouches on the back of their carrier, so their squadmates can quickly access an ammo resupply, grenades, detcord, or even a claymore. The ammo pouches have adjustable closure flaps that can each accommodate rifle magazines from 30-40 round 5.56 and 7.62 AK magazines, as well as multiple grenade types like smoke, flashbangs, and anti-structural devices. These pouches are permanently sewn onto this panel but are highly versatile. Open the thru pocket to accommodate longer items like bolt cutters or a hydration bladder.

A small quantity of MultiCam pattern SMC Assaulter Panels was made at our US manufacturing facility for a contract, these panels lack the hook-backed panel that our current TAA-compliant SMC Assaulter Panels have. This feature does not affect function or inhibit the user from securing the panel to MOLLE webbing via the PALS retention straps.

Cummerbund Kit

The Armored Republic Cummerbund Kit is designed to add storage and side armor capability to plate carriers.

The Cummerbund Kit from Armored Republic integrates seamlessly with plate carriers that have a flap pocket on the backside and Velcro on the front. The kit consists of two components: the front admin flap and the cummerbund itself.

The front flap is optional and only needed for carriers that do not have a cummerbund flap. For carriers that have a cummerbund flap, the cummerbund is the only needed item.

The cummerbund kit can work with most other plate carriers on the market.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a cummerbund necessary to have on a plate carrier? No, but a cummerbund can be helpful to have if you're wanting a more comfortable or secure fit, extra side protection, and extra storage. Depending on your individual needs, using a cummerbund may be more practical or preferable to using a dedicated side buckle type carrier.
What is a cummerbund on a plate carrier? A cummerbund gets its name from the tuxedo accessory- by the same name. However, unlike this accessory, a cummerbund is a stabilization band that helps keep your plate carriers armor concentric to your vital organs. In addition to this, they may also allow the mounting of side armor and external MOLLE-type pouches. Most cummerbunds are adjusted on the back side of the plate carrier. These adjustments ultimately determine how well your carrier fits to your body so make sure your carrier's cummerbund is adjusted properly.

The Rapid Disconnect Cummerbund was designed with the direct input of several Military and Law Enforcement units with the purpose to rapidly disconnect and connect your plate carrier. We wanted to maintain the function of our MOLLE cummerbund but allow a rapid disconnect feature. The rapid disconnect cummerbund utilizes our Rapid Disconnect System (RDS) for quick detach, featuring 3 rows of MOLLE/PALS webbing to attach your pouches or side plates.

Our RDC cummerbund also features an internal pocket for our soft armor (Armor Sold Separately). We designed the RDC cummerbund with 2 sizes allowing a very versatile sizing design. The RDC cummerbund is compatible with our MEAC and LOPC Plate Carriers along with most other carriers on the market.
